Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Olyezy account and the personal data attached to it at any time, from inside the app or right here — you do not need to install the app to ask. This page explains exactly what we delete, what the law requires us to keep, and how long it takes.
Effective: 16 September 2026Last updated: 16 September 2026

01Request deletion

Submit the form below with the mobile number registered to your account. Because this page is open to anyone, we verify that the request really came from you — normally by calling or messaging that number — before we delete anything.

Request deletion
Submit this form with the mobile number registered to your account. You do not need to install the app.

You can also email connect@olyezy.com from your registered address with the subject "Delete my account", or message us on WhatsApp at +91 99006 10570.

02Deleting from inside the app

If you have the app installed, the fastest route is:

In the Android app
Profile → Account → Delete account → confirm with the OTP sent to your registered number.

Deleting in the app verifies you immediately through the OTP, so the request moves straight to processing without the separate verification step described above.

03What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following from our active systems:

  • your profile — name, mobile number, email address and profile photo;
  • saved and recent addresses, including home and work shortcuts;
  • location history collected during your trips;
  • travel preferences and vehicle choices;
  • push notification tokens and marketing consent records;
  • device identifiers linked to your account;
  • support conversations that are not part of an unresolved dispute; and
  • any photo or document you uploaded to a support request.

Your login stops working immediately on completion. Data held by our analytics providers in aggregate, anonymised form — which cannot be traced back to you — is not affected, because it is no longer personal data.

04What we must retain, and why

Some records cannot be deleted on request, because Indian law requires us to keep them. These are retained in restricted-access storage, used only for the purpose below, and deleted permanently once the period expires.

Retained recordWhyFor how long
Invoices, payment and refund records, trip records tied to a financial transactionCompanies Act, 2013 and GST law require financial records to be preserved for audit and tax assessment8 years from the end of the relevant financial year
Records relating to an open dispute, claim, complaint, insurance matter or law-enforcement requestWe must be able to establish or defend the claimUntil the matter is fully resolved, then deleted
Records of fraud, payment abuse or safety incidentsTo prevent the same account holder from re-registering to repeat itAs long as necessary for that purpose
A minimal record that your account was deletedProof that we honoured your request, if it is ever questionedReference number and date only — no profile data
Encrypted backups containing your dataBackups are written as whole snapshots and cannot be edited selectivelyUp to 90 days, after which the snapshots roll off permanently
These records are not used for anything else
Retained financial records are never used to contact you, to market to you, or to rebuild your profile. They sit in restricted storage until their retention period ends.

05How long it takes

StageTimeline
We acknowledge your requestImmediately on submission — you get a reference number
We verify the request is yoursWithin 7 days (immediate if you delete in-app with OTP)
We delete your data from active systemsWithin 30 days of verification
We confirm completion to youBy SMS or email on the registered contact
Backups containing your data expireWithin 90 days of deletion

If something delays your request beyond these timelines — an open dispute, for example — we will tell you why and when it will complete, rather than leaving it silently pending.

06What happens to your account

  • You cannot sign in again. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once complete. Registering again later creates a fresh account with no history.
  • Upcoming bookings are cancelled. Any confirmed trip that has not yet taken place will be cancelled under our Cancellation & Refund Policy, and standard cancellation charges may apply. If you want to travel first, ask us to delete after the trip.
  • Pending refunds are still paid. We will complete any refund you are owed to the original payment method before closing the account.
  • Outstanding dues survive deletion. Deleting your account does not cancel money you owe us for a completed trip.
  • Trip history is gone. Download or email yourself any invoice you need for expense claims before requesting deletion.

07Deleting only some of your data

You do not have to delete everything. Using the second option on the form, you can keep your account and ask us to remove specific data instead — for example:

  • saved addresses and recent-location suggestions;
  • location history from past trips;
  • an uploaded photo or document;
  • your email address, keeping only your mobile number; or
  • marketing consent, so we stop sending offers while your account stays active.

You can also withdraw a device permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Olyezy → Permissions, without contacting us at all.

08Changing your mind

You can cancel a deletion request at any point before it completes: reply to our verification message, or email connect@olyezy.com quoting your reference number. Once deletion has completed, it cannot be reversed — we no longer hold the data to restore.
